I would like congratulate Vaughn Halsey on winning our first ever Coder Royale award. Vaughn had some tough competition and it came down to a matter of a few points in our judging. In second place was David Knight and in third place was Russ Lazarek. We had 14 developers sign up to compete and 10 complete the grueling assignment. It was exciting to see how talented these developers are and what they provide to their organizations.
The competition this year was made of up a fictitious company that had some very specific requirements for their IVR and contact center. The amount of time it took for the developers ranged from four to twelve hours. Keep in mind we gave them the requirements on Tuesday morning and the deadline was on Wednesday at 6PM. Many of them worked through the night and I must say they impressed us tremendously. Our winners delivered exciting solutions that were functional and supportable.
